Early in 2004 Scott Hege and Mike Cherim started a web hosting company, calling it GBHXonline. Initially, taking their queue from the myriad other hosting outfits on the web, everything under the sun was offered: A zillion types of server software and web applications galore, all steeped in a rich broth of technical jargon and a required expertise. That’s what people want, right? Not so. Not everyone.
After a year of observing their customers’ habits and taking support requests, it was discovered that not everyone wanted to be overwhelmed with options. Clients had their web sites and blogs, and used them to their heart’s content, never bothering to even log into their server admin panels or make changes.
Once we realized that most everyday people just weren’t interested in an impressive wealth of offerings, it was decided to shift gears and give customers what they really wanted: a web site or blog, all headache-free, and that’s it. Prices were raised — just slightly — and there’s been no looking back since.

Scott
Scott is the man who got the ball rolling, initially coming up with the idea of starting a hosting company. Scott has years of experience in the field of information technology providing hardware and software support for a large institution. Scott is very good at what he does and will be your primary support contact. He will respond to your needs rapidly, effectively, and with a high level of professional courtesy. Scott lives in Charleston, South Carolina with his wife and two children.
Mike
Mike is the director of the corporation that owns GBHXonline.com. He is also a master web developer and web accessibility expert. He is very well respected in the industry and has the knowledge to help you with your application and website/blog needs. Georgann
Georgann is the general manager of The Green Spot Ltd and a miracle worker. She’s polite and charming, and if you deal with her as you renew your domain by phone or whatever, you’ll be reminded of what good customer service is about. Just in case you’ve forgotten what it was like back when. We like that about her and you are sure to as well. Georgann also lives in Nottingham with her husband and, you guessed it, she also has two children.
The Techs
Our servers live in a large, well secured building in Virginia. They are managed by some local people we will affectionately call “The Techs.” And it must be said, the crew down there are a really sharp bunch. They make uptime a consistent thing, they are responsive, and have a fine attention to detail. And they’ve never tripped over the cord so that’s good. Seriously, though, we couldn’t do it without them.
